Call for Session Proposals: SAH WiA AG Session at 2026 SAH Conference

Call for Session Proposals: SAH WiA AG Session at 2026 SAH Annual Conference, Mexico City

SAH Women in Architecture Affiliate Group (SAH WiA AG) leadership team invites session proposals for a SAH WiA AG supported session at the Society of Architectural Historians 79th Annual International Conference, Mexico City, Mexico, April 15–19, 2026.

The potential session should focus on inquiries concerning women’s diverse agency in architecture, urban design and planning. Proposals that present a wide-ranging inquiry into the projects uncovering women’s leadership and broader inclusive contribution to global built environments are encouraged.

Session proposals should be submitted by Monday, December 9, 2024, 12:00 noon CST.

Proposal should comply with the instructions outlined in the Call for Session Proposals – SAH 79th Annual Conference: www.sah.org/docs/default-source/conference/2026-call-for-sessions-final-english.pdf?sfvrsn=73162f9b_9.

The chair/co-chairs of the selected proposal/proposals will be notified by Wednesday, December 18, 2024, for your timely submission on the SAH website by the SAH deadline, January 9, 2025, 11:59 pm CDT.

Session proposals must include the following elements:

  1. A session title not longer than 65 characters, including spaces and punctuation
  2. Summary of the subject and the premise in no more than 300 words
  3. Your name, professional affiliation (if applicable), address, telephone, and email address
  4. A current CV (2 pages)

The chair/co-chairs of selected session/sessions shall follow the submission process for SAH conference sessions. For details please also visit 2026 Conference – Mexico City: www.sah.org/2026.

The abstract shall include the line “Session supported by SAH Women in Architecture Affiliate Group.” Session proposal shall indicate on the SAH website in the paragraph “SAH Chapter / Partner Name”: SAH Women in Architecture Affiliate Group.
